The Undo, Copy, Cut, Paste, and Select All options on the Edit menu are standard Macintosh commands and will work in the ways familiar to you. Wherever possible, we've used standard Macintosh interface rules to make America Online as easy as possible for you to use.
GLUE TOOLS
You may encounter a type of graphic document on America Online, on a message board, for example, called a "Glue" document. (Sometimes these files are called "Image" documents.) Glue documents are created by "Super Glue," a utility available from Solutions, Inc., and then are posted online or sent through e-mail.
You do not need "Super Glue" to view these files. Instead, America Online has provided a built-in mechanism, called the "Glue Viewer" to allow you to see and manipulate Glue documents you download. After you download a Glue document, America Online will automatically open up the file on your screen. Then, the "Glue Tools" on the Edit menu will be enabled.
You can perform limited editing of the Glue documents with these commands: Copy Text, Show Font List, Show Table of Contents, Go To Page, and Erase Table of Contents. There is also a command under the File Menu (see "Save Others") that allows you to save a Glue document as a MacPaint file.
The advantage to using Glue's Viewer is that you can look at files that were created under applications you may not own. For more information on how to use these features check the Members' Online Guide located within the free What's New & Online Support department online.
